This is how to test Lipstick for "Lead", lead is a chemical which causes cancer. Recently a brand called, "Red Earth" decreased their prices from HK$67 to HK$9.90. It contains lead.

The higher the number of lead the higher the content which means a greater chance of causing Cancer. After doing this test, we found Y.S.L. lipstick to contain the most lead. It is not easy to "REMOVE" because of the lead. Watch out for those lipsticks which are suppose to stay longer.

Here is the test you can do yourself:
1. Put some lipstick on your hand,
2. Use a 24k-14k Gold ring to scratch on the lipstick.
3. If the lipstick color changes to black then you know the lipstick contains lead.

BEWARE of USANA...!!!

When Brian Mohr, owner of Nutrimart Nutrition - a retail vitamin store in San Diego, California - first received a letter from Usana Health Sciences Inc. demanding that he contact Barry Minkow, co-founder of the Fraud Discovery Institute (FDI), and immediately insist that Minkow remove the YouTube video which compared the prices of Nutrimart's products to the Usana Health Pak 100 (TM), he was shocked. "Usana told me that my employee misrepresented to the public that the daily vitamin packs that we sell for substantially less than Usana's products were really not comparable at all because our products, although less expensive, were inferior," said Mohr.

"The only one guilty of misrepresentation is Usana," said Manfred Kroger, Professor Emeritus of Food Science at Pennsylvania State University and current Associate Editor for the Journal of Food Science and the Scientific Editor for Comprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety. Professor Kroger was brought in by FDI to examine the products compared in the original YouTube video, and his findings, now posted on the FDI Web site ">, indicate that "neither Nutrimart nor Mr. Minkow should be accused of misrepresentation, but Usana should be when it attempts to justify the substantially higher price and superiority of their products through pseudoscience and innuendo appealing to some scientific criteria which do not exist."

However, the Usana intimidation had only just begun as Mohr went on to explain in the video. "After receiving the threat letter from Usana and calling the company, its in-house counsel called me back and left a voicemail message (also now available in the FDI Web site) stating that the company had changed its mind about its approach, and rather than me going to Minkow demanding that the YouTube video containing the price comparisons be taken down, Usana instead asked me to sign a letter prepared by the company stating that my employee was manipulated by Minkow into the price comparison, because Minkow supposedly did not disclose the context in which the video would be used. Usana is going to be really surprised to learn from this new YouTube video that I was the employee and the person in the original video," said Mohr.

"Desperate people and desperate companies do desperate things," said Minkow. "For a publicly traded company to lie and bully a local retail store for doing nothing more than being proud both of the quality and the value of the products it sells is simply deplorable."

Also on the newly released YouTube is San Diego air traffic controller Doug Boelter who, only two days earlier had attended the Usana "Super Saturday" opportunity meeting held at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Diego, where medical advisory board member Dr. Ladd McNamara explicitly stated that the 75 percent savings presented on the company Web site and in the opportunity meetings was savings off the cost of the products - Usana's founder, Dr. Wentz, chose the multi level marketing approach for his products over traditional retailing; in traditional retailing the price of the product would be prohibitive because of the costs associated with that method which would in turn force Usana to cut back on quality, which Dr. Wentz refused to do.

Instead, and according to Boelter's account of the explanation, multi level marketing reduces by 75 percent the cost of the product, by eliminating the typical national distributor, wholesaler, and other middle men. According to Boelter, who is preparing an affidavit to the SEC stating what he and his wife heard first-hand at the meeting, this will once and for all settle the Usana diversion and ambiguity surrounding the 75 percent savings which the company represents to potential distributors is off of the cost of the products

In the original FDI report, the contention was that this 75 percent savings was evidence of an untenable business model. "Despite arguments to the contrary that Usana never meant that this alleged 75 percent savings was savings realized off of the product price, the evidence is conclusive that this is exactly what they say and what we represented in our original report," said Minkow. "The reality, however, is much worse because the 75 percent is neither saved off of the hopelessly overpriced product - as evidenced by Professor Kroger - nor is it seen in compensation to the thousands of Usana distributors who never earn a dime in from their Usana distributorships."

Dangerous Health Product

The Fraud Discovery Institute (FDI) released an alert today warning of dangerously high levels of lead allegedly found in six common Herbalife products.

The study, which included lab analysis by an FDA-registered lab, plus medical literature, Herbalife's product literature and various peer reviewed medical journal articles written about the numerous cases of hepatoxicity associated with the use of the same Herbalife products, was reviewed by Christopher Grell, co-founder of the Dietary Supplement Safety Committee and lawyer specializing in dietary supplement litigation. The alert can be viewed at the Fraud Discovery Institute's website ".

According to Grell, the six Herbalife products tested showed levels of lead that are both dangerous and that are in excess of what the law allows under California's Safe Drinking and Toxic Environment Act of 1994, more commonly known as Prop. 65. The Proposition was intended by its authors to protect California citizens and the State's drinking water sources from chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm, and to inform citizens about exposures to such chemicals.

According to California law, the maximum daily exposure to lead is .5 micrograms per day for chemicals that are known to cause developmental problems, and 15 mcg per day for chemicals that are known to cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm. Lead is listed in both categories in California since it may cause irreversible neurological damage as well as renal disease, cardiovascular problems and reproductive toxicity. Adults with lead poisoning have increased incidences of depression, aggressive behavior, and antisocial behavior. Men with lead poisoning tend to have lower sperm counts; women have an increase in miscarriages and smaller babies.

The findings issued today allegedly show:

1. Herbalife's Thermogetics - 0.663 mcg of lead per tablet. Each tablet is in excess of the maximum daily exposure level. When you consider that Herbalife recommends that the consumer take three tablets three times a day, taking Herbalife's Thermojetics results in 5.967 mcg of lead every day, more than 11 times (1100 percent) the maximum exposure allowed per day.
2. Herbalife's Shape Works Cell Activator - 0.294 mcg of lead per capsule, which is below the .5 limit. However, Herbalife recommends that this product be taken three capsules at a time three times a day. As a result, using the product as directed will result in a daily lead exposure of 2.637 mcg a day, or five times (500 percent) the maximum exposure level.
3. Herbalife's Multivitamin Complex - 0.344 mcg of lead per tablet. Herbalife recommends that the consumer take three tablets per day. As a result, a person using this product would be exposed to 1.032 mcg of lead, or two times (206 percent) the maximum level.
4. Herbalife's Tang Kuei Plus - 0.363 mcg per tablet. Herbalife recommends that this product be used up to three times a day. If used as directed, the person would be exposed to 3.2 mcg of lead, more than 6 times (640 percent) the maximum exposure.
5. Herbalife's Shapeworks Protein Drink Mix - 3.05 mcg of lead per servings. The recommended serving amount per day is 2 times. As a result, a person using this product as directed would be exposed to 6.10 mcg of lead, more than 12 (1220 percent) times the maximum level.
6. Herbalife's Healthy Meal Nutritional Shake Mix - 2.12 mcg of lead per servings. Again, the recommended serving amount is twice a day, resulting in a 4.24 mcg exposure to lead per day. This is almost 8.5 (848 percent) times more than the maximum exposure level.

Says Grell, "If a consumer was taking each of these products as part of Herbalife's Weight Management Program, which is entirely possible, the individual would be exposed to 23.179 mcg of lead per day, or forty-five times (4,636 percent) more than the maximum exposure. Ironically, it is a health and nutrition company that appears to be selling a product that amounts to nothing more than a lead cocktail."

Signs and symptoms of lead poisoning in adults may include:

• Pain, numbness or tingling of the extremities
• Muscular weakness
• Headache
• Loss of appetite
• Abdominal pain
• Memory loss
• Mood disorders
• Reduced sperm count, abnormal sperm
• Fatigue
• Depression
• Heart failure
• Gout

Loan sharks abduct debtor’s brother

PETALING JAYA: Three loan sharks kidnapped a 42-year-old man on Thursday and demanded that his family pay half the amount owed to them by his brother.

The Ah Long abducted the man from his home at 7.30pm.

The victim was taken to a house 500m away in Seri Damansara and locked in a room.
His captors called his family and demanded they pay RM10,000.

Police raided the house where the victim was being held at 2.30am yesterday, arresting one of the moneylenders.

The victim was unharmed and police were still looking for the remaining two suspects.

District OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohd said the victim’s 45-year-old brother had gone missing over a year ago after borrowing RM20,000 from the loan sharks to feed his gambling habit.

He said suspect would be investigated for wrongful confinement
